Classes and Resource Ownership · 4:18
We build a small Vector class whose 16-byte handle lives on the stack while its numbers live on the heap. The constructor acquires the memory, the destructor gives it back, and C++ guarantees the destructor runs at every closing brace, so cleanup is automatic: that pattern is RAII. We also see why naked new leaks, why single-argument constructors should be explicit, and how the same idea manages locks and files.
