Expected Value
A postman brings letters to a house with two letter-boxes. Since both boxes are empty, he puts the first letter in one box and the second letter in the other. For each subsequent letter, he chooses one of the boxes with probability proportional to the number of letters already in that box, and puts the letter in it. What is the expected number of letters in the box with fewer letters once all 5 letters are delivered?
